About Slick Hot Deals

Slick Hot Deals is a small, independent deals desk: every product page is reviewed by a human before it goes live. There is no content farm behind this site, and no AI bot publishing in a loop without supervision. Trending products get found, pages get written, a human checks them, and they ship.

Who runs it

I am Brian Crumrine, based in Carlsbad, California. I run a small portfolio of affiliate and content sites as a side project alongside a software career. Slick Hot Deals is the trending-products desk in that portfolio: editorial overviews on what is genuinely worth buying right now, written for people, not for keyword density.

How a deal page gets here

Sourcing. Trending products come from Amazon best-seller and movers-and-shakers feeds, plus seasonal category data (Mother's Day, Prime Day, Black Friday, etc.). I pull a candidate list, filter out junk, and pick the ones with real momentum.

Writing. Editorial overviews start as a structured first draft from a large language model trained on product-review writing. Every page is then reviewed and edited by me before publication. I add context the model could not know, cut anything that reads like ad copy, and make sure the page actually answers what someone shopping for the product wants to know.

Pricing. Prices and availability are pulled from Amazon and refreshed regularly. The Amazon listing is always the source of truth -- click through before you buy.

How I make money

Two ways. First, this site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link and buy something, Amazon pays a small commission at no cost to you. Second, the site runs Google AdSense.

Affiliate revenue does not change which products I cover. I do not take pay-to-play placements, and I do not rank by commission rate. The full affiliate disclosure is here.

What I will not do

- I will not pad a list with products I would not recommend.

- I will not fake first-hand experience I do not have. If a page is research-based rather than tested, the writing reflects that.

- I will not let outdated prices linger. If you spot a stale price, tell me.
