About the Panel
Panel pages on this site feature labeled AI analytical instruments debating products. There are four bots: ohms (hardware specs), pareto (price efficiency), patina (long-term durability), and snark (marketing reality check). Each evaluates products from a single axis only.
What the bots are and are not
The bots are computational tools, not human imitations. They do not own, test, or use products. They analyze product data and publicly available information. No bot may speak in first person about owning or testing a product -- this is enforced at the prompt level and audited at the output level.
All factual claims in bot output must trace to the ground-truth data block synthesized from the product listing. Bots may interpret facts; they may not invent specs, defect rates, or product histories.
How panels are generated
Each panel runs a multi-step pipeline: (1) ground-truth synthesis from the product listing, (2) independent first-impression takes from all four bots, (3) a responsive round where each bot sees paraphrased summaries of the others, (4) a verdict round producing 1-10 scores on each bot's axis, (5) a consensus synthesis, and (6) a safety and grounding check. Failed outputs are re-rolled or held for manual review.
Legal basis
Bot opinions are editorial analysis, protected speech. Factual claims are grounded in source data. Brand names are used for product identification under nominative fair use. AI authorship is disclosed on every page. Schema.org author attribution is SoftwareApplication, not Person. This page and all panel pages include the ai-generated meta tag for EU AI Act transparency compliance.
Affiliate links
Panel pages include Amazon affiliate links. Clicking through and purchasing earns this site a commission at no cost to you. Affiliate revenue does not influence bot verdicts -- the bots have no awareness of commission rates. See the full affiliate disclosure.
